Frequently Asked Questions
-
Where can we take photos?
I have a few spots around town that are open for public access and that I use often. I am also open to shooting in your home, in your backyard, or anywhere else you can think of. (Keep in mind that you are in charge of getting appropriate permissions.)
-
What times are you available?
I work full time, Monday-Friday, with my typical hours being from 8:00am-5:00pm, so I’m typically limited to weekend sessions., or evenings when there is enough daylight.
I personally try to avoid taking photos from around 10:30am-3:30pm, as the sun can be super harsh and difficult to work with.
-
What should we wear?
Neutral tones are your friend! Avoid bright colors and flashy patterns that can leave odd reflections on your skin or distract from the subject(s).
Pregnant mamas, I recommend long dresses that are either stretchy and form fitting, or with lots of extra fabric to swoosh around. That middle ground can get awkward.
-
Do you have a studio or know any indoor spots?
I do not. That being said, in-home lifestyle sessions can be lots of fun! I’d be happy to join your family for story time, baking cookies, or anything else that will bring out real smiles.

Where are you located?
Jamestown, North Dakota!

Do you do newborn photography?
I don’t do posed newborn sessions, but I would love to join you for an in-home documentary style session or be on call for a fresh 48.
